Donation made to the Aurora FFA Organization
Central Valley Ag Cooperative (CVA) and WinField will donate $2,000 to the Aurora, Neb., FFA organization in celebration of the CVA Seed and Agronomy Center grand opening in Aurora, Neb.
“FFA organizations are critical to the future of agriculture and ag education,” said Ray Shanks, CVA Location Manager in Aurora. “Many of us grew up with these organizations, and our children still participate today. We’re glad to help foster their purposes any way that we can”
At the grand opening event on Dec. 11, 2014, members of the community were invited to sign a welcome banner. CVA and WinField originally set out to donate $10 per signature. After gathering around 180 attendee signatures, the companies decided to increase the donation to a total of $2,000 for the Aurora FFA organization.
CVA and WinField thank the Aurora community for a warm welcome. The cooperatives are excited to to offer farmers localized insights, as well as readily available seed and crop protection products to meet their individual needs for planning, planting and in-season management. The new seed and agronomy center will allow CVA and WinField the opportunity to work with farmers to develop prescriptive plans using the latest innovations to get the most from their fields.
